Gibson & Associates, Inc. consists of Kristy Gibson, Mike Gibson, Portia Omdal and a local network of independent recruiters. We specialize in accounting and finance searches and have been recruiting independently for over 28 years. We have worked with hundreds of companies in the greater Puget Sound area and work with both large and small businesses in all industries. Our advantage as recruiters comes from our extensive network and the ability to truly understand the hiring needs of our clients, given our own accounting backgrounds.
Kristy GibsonKristy is the founder of Gibson & Associates and has been working as a recruiter specializing in accounting and finance for over 28 years. Over that time she has worked with hundreds local companies and placed nearly 1000 candidates. She was previously an auditor with Ernst & Young for over 14 years in the Seattle office. During that time, she handled alumni relations for E&Y and did job referral work on behalf of the firm. Basically, she would get involved in referring E&Y alumni to openings with client companies. She is a Seattle native and graduated from the University of Washington with a business degree in accounting

Mike GibsonMike spent 30 years in the Big 4, a major part of those years as an audit partner with a broad base of experience in a variety of industries. He has extensive hands-on experience working with executives of private and public companies. His primary industry focus was in the high technology industry segments including, electronics, software, telecommunications and biotechnology. Mike was a CPA for many years and is a graduate of Seattle University.

Portia OmdalPortia moved to Seattle in 1996 where she attended and graduated from the University of Washington. Prior to joining Gibson & Associates in 2015, she spent over eight years working in the executive suite industry, managing offices in Seattle and Bellevue. Her focus at Gibson & Associates is to identify potential candidates, perform initial telephone and face-to-face interviews, conduct thorough reference and background checks as well as oversee the daily office operations.
